What Does the Legal Nurse System do?

The system revolves around the medical record.  The consultant enters the date, time, record identification and record contents to document the facts.  The records don't need to be in order because the system sorts them.  Our consultants have the option of using the keyboard, voice recognition or a hand held scanner to enter the information into the system.

Once the facts are recorded, the consultant can make  many different types of entries about this medical record;

  1. Add a review note explaining or interpreting the medical record entry.

  2. Add a reference pertinent to the record.

  3. Enter or scan Lab values into the database.

  4. Add a person to the party roster and enter notes or questions pertaining to this party.

  5. Add a Timeline Caption.

  6. Add a Summary Note.

  7. Make an entry to the Glossary.

  8. Mark the record with one or more codes to indicate it belongs to a special class.

  9. Enter Expense Items.

  10. Enter and Analyze Billing information

  11. Do a spell check.

The system then is ready to print reports and visuals:

  1. Print or export Summary Notes for a first draft of the Summary.

  2. Print or export a Chronology with or without review notes.

  3. Automatically generate graphs of Lab/data Values.

  4. Print or export the Timeline Report.

  5. Print selected records based on the special class codes or use the Query Builder.

  6. Print a custom report based on the consultant's criteria.

  7. Print or export the Lab Values.

  8. Print the Glossary.

  9. Print the Roster of Parties.

  10. Print  a report of the the notes and questions for a particular party.

  11. Create and edit the reports in Microsoft Word
